Closed Door pt.2
The book I was reading at the time had the line "I open a door, I close a door." For context, this character was playing life like a game. He was climbing the social scene and moving through chapters in life at such speed he didn’t have time to look back. You were supposed to feel happy for him cause he was getting everything he ever wanted, but I found myself thinking how detached I would feel from myself moving at that rate. The words now took a different meaning. I open a door, i close a door; doing what you think your supposed to do, what is expected, living day by day appearing happy but deep down unfulfilled.
This piece was made with pens then composed digitally. Can be printed on smooth matte cardstock or textured archival paper, in a selection of different sizes.
Each print is made to order.
